Appearance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This model allows to present the characteristics of a department of an institution dealing with archives under the form of a vertical table appearing on the right of an article. (infobox). You can use it by copying the syntax below and use the documentation to fill the different parameters.

Image

[edit]

For each institution, it is preferable to have an image of the main building (or another significant illustration), in the « image » field.

Geographic informations

[edit]

Most of the geographic informations in the templates are set to be fetched on Wikidata. You can rewrite them if the informations are false or absent, but please consider adding them to the Wikidata item instead !

GPS coordinates

[edit]

The GPS coordinates latitude and longitude can use a {{GeoTemplate}} model which allows you to display the images/maps/photos of the site. If the WikiMiniAtlas is activated, the image of a globe should appear next to the coordinates. When clicking this globe, an interactive map should appear on the article itslef. In any other case, see the WikiMiniAtlas page for a custom installation.

[edit]

Geographic Information

In the unusual case where two Infoboxes appear on the same page, because two institutions share the same location, one hase to fill in the Archives Infobox the following line to avoid incoherences. The "Geographic Information" group then disappears completely
