year* Year of the season (format for football/baseball/softball/soccer:2007; format for basketball/ice hockey/tennis 2006–07)
team* Name of the team
sport
(or: mode)
Indicates the sport; accepted values: basketball, men's basketball, women's basketball, ice hockey, men's ice hockey, women's ice hockey, football, baseball, softball, soccer, men's soccer, women's soccer, tennis, men's tennis, women's tennis (if this parameter is omitted, the default football is used)
sex Used to switch between men's and women's basketball, ice hockey, soccer, and tennis; (if this parameter is omitted, the default men is used). Alternatively, the gender can be included with the sport parameter (e.g., |sport=men's basketball).
logo File name of the logo (don't include the file prefix File:orImage:)
logo_size Size of the logo; defaults to 180px
logo_alt Alt text for logo, for those who cannot see it; see Wikipedia:Alternative text for images
logo_caption
image File name of the image (don't include the file prefix File:orImage:)
image_size Size of the image; defaults to 180px
image_alt

champion The championships won by the team this year
conf_champ The conference championships won by the team this year
conf_champ_result The result for the conference championship
bowl For football, the bowl game the team played in this year

tourney For basketball / baseball / ice hockey / tennis, the post-season tournament (NCAA, NIT, etc.) in which the team played
tourney_result For basketball / baseball / ice hockey / tennis, the last round played by the team in the tournament
conference* Conference the team belongs to (typically should be the name of the article); if the team is independent, use |conference=independent
conference_link Link to the conference article if different than name used in "conference" parameter. Do not wikify.
division Division in the conference
BCSRank The ranking of the team in the Bowl Championship Series rankings (football only) – replaced in 2014 by CFP Rank
CoachRank The ranking of the team in the Coaches Poll (for football, FBS schools only)
APRank The ranking of the team in the AP Poll (for football, FBS schools only)
TSNRank The ranking of the team in The Sports Network Poll (FCS football only, though 2014 season)
STATSRank The ranking of the team in the STATS FCS Poll (FCS football only, starting 2015 season to replace TSNRank)

hc_games If the head coach did not finish the season, the number of games they coached (i.e., "first 5 games")
head_coach2 The name of the second head coach if the first head coach did not complete the season
hc_games2 The number of games coached by the second head coach (i.e., "remainder of season")
head_coach3 The name of the third head coach if the second head coach did not complete the season
hc_games3 The number of games coached by the third head coach (i.e., "remainder of season")
assoc_coach The name of the associate head coach
ahc_year Ordinal for the years of service of the associate head coach (i.e., 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 25th, etc.)

captain The name of the captain
captain_year Ordinal for the number of years the captain has held the position (i.e., 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 25th, etc.)

captain3 The name of the third captain

uniform_away An image of the team's away uniform for that season/era, use the syntax |uniform_away=imagename.jpgor|uniform_away={{football kit|...}}
prev_year Year of previous season; format for basketball/ice hockey/tennis: 2007–08. For football/baseball, just use year. If there wasn't a previous season, type none. To use the automatically calculated format, leave blank.
next_year Year of next season; format for basketball/ice hockey/tennis: 2006–07. For football/baseball, just use year. If there wasn't a next season, type none. To use the automatically calculated format, leave blank.
prev Content for previous link, overrides automatically generated link based on yearorprev_year. For example, when the team changed names before this season.
