Usage

Simple usage

* {{PASE|ID|PASE name}}

for example:
* {{PASE|13909|Æthelstan 18}}

generates:

To find the ID, do not left click to open the person's record. Find it (e.g. Æthelstan 18 in the list of Æthelstans), right click on the name in the list and open the record in a new tab. The ID will be at the end of the url.

Further options

The option accessdate= can be used to add an access date, eg

Æthelstan 18atProsopography of Anglo-Saxon England. Retrieved 2016-01-17.

The option cw=1 gives output formatted via {{cite web}}, as

"Æthelstan 18". Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England. Retrieved 2016-01-17.

which may fit in better with the format of some reference lists.

The option nm=1 outputs just the name,

Æthelstan 18

Finally the option bare=1 gives just the bare link,

http://pase.ac.uk/jsp/persons/CreatePersonFrames.jsp?personKey=13909

which can then be marked up as desired.

It is probably a good thing for all links to people on PASE to use the template as far as possible, rather than a direct link, so that if the preferred URL format ever changes again it will be straightforward to update all the links in one simple step.
