As this is my first ever template in Wikipedia, I try to plan properly before creating it. Therefore, I discussed this matter in WikiProject Malaysia.
Still, I believe the best and relevant place to discuss this matter is here. I have a few doubts about this template that I hope will be solved.
Currently, the external link to check the stock info is The Star Online. There is also another source of this info through Yahoo! Finance. The example for the latter is as follows: (MYX: 1818). Which external link do you prefer? (I prefer Yahoo!)
Stock quotes in MYX are "officially" in 4-digit numbers. However there are some who prefer the alphabet form. Should I create another variable in this template for this? If available, the alphabetical form will replace numerical, but the link remains the same.
The reason I can't make the external link to the official Bursa site is because it doesn't support this kind of linking. So it's not an option. Also, the reason for not using the term KLSE, KUL, BURSA etc is because MYX is the official term and should precede the rest.
