Sure, Hike395. But then we'll end up with some templates supporting it and others not. The result is that often the same article will include inline citations saying "This article..." and "One or more of the preceding sentences..." and that's outright confusing.

Can you provide examples of articles where both kinds of wording occur? —hike395 (talk) 02:04, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
