@Santasa: Maybe to split the Trebišnjica part into a separate template? It is not a sub-basin of Neretva although there are some underground links between the two because of the karst terrain. – KWiki (talk) 11:17, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. But before I begin to explain myself, I must thank you for your adherence to proper procedure and for contacting me, however I can't agree - it's, actually, just "Neretva-Trebišnjica basin". First, you seem ill-informed on what constitute watershed in hydrology or more specifically in hydrography (with or without sub-basin); second, if it is a case that two or more seemingly separate river(s) are being connected underground, even with smallest natural or even artificial channel, that constitute unique watershed; third, Trebišnjica is connected with Neretva through countless of investigated and thoroughly studied underground waterways, some enormous in capacity, some average and smaller, and probably similar if not larger number of those yet to be studied or even discovered (entire vast marshland of the of Lower Neretva left bank, beginning with Hutovo Blato, owes its waters to Trebišnjica); forth, and maybe most important, at the end of its main fork (other goes underground and empties directly into Dubrovačka Rijeka bay of Adriatic at the outskirts of Dubrovnik), which runs through (not under) Popovo Polje, the Trebišnjica is actually directly linked with Neretva - it practically drains into the Neretva as any proper tributary via Svitavsko Lake and the Krupa river, only last stretch of few hundred meters can't be seen because waters of the Trebišnjica are diverted from its Lake Vrutak onto water turbines of the Čapljina Hydroelectric Power Station, in between Hutovo and Svitava (Čapljina) villages, but those waters then empties from hydro power station into Svitavsko lake (Hutovo Blato) and through Krupa river eventually reaches the Neretva; fifth, I didn't feign these facts, that the Trebišnjica is part of the Neretva watershed and practically its regular tributary, that's irrefutable hydrographic truth, and you will be able to find out for yourself on your first attempt to Google or Google-scholar search Neretva-Trebišnjica watershed/basin.--౪ Santa ౪99° 12:53, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Santasa: I just proposed the idea out of practical / pragmatic reasons, nothing else. :-) Thank you for the elaborate answer because I learned something and that is the point after all. Although I am from Mostar, I never acquainted more knowledge about this besides mere general, elementary school stuff (geography is my first love, but the life had other plans for me :-)). Best wishes. Sincerely thankful, both for the correction and for your work on these subjects. – KWiki (talk) 14:23, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome @KWiki: - and if you live in Mostar you are really lucky for having most beautiful river on planet Earth running through your hometown, and truly unique one in every sense of the word. Only, you need to start saving her from greedy politicians who what to damage her with construction even more dams and hydroelectric power plants.--౪ Santa ౪99° 15:35, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Santasa: Where to put Zalomka here? – KWiki (talk) 14:11, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

he,he, I admit, it's a puzzle now, isn't it :-) !? But also the beauty of the Herzegovinian Dinaric karst - in any case, feel safe to put it wherever you want, because for sure you won't go wrong, because in essence, Zalomka belongs to both sub-basins as it empties directly into both. However, I would choose the Trebisnjica basin, if for no other reason, then because of the intention to divert most, if not all, of its waters to Trebisnjica with the "HES Gornji Horizonti" project. Take care and stay safe.--౪ Santa ౪99° 16:33, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Or maybe the best option would be to put it under both watersheds, since the HE Dabar is still on paper only, and estavelle "Biograd" still carries its waters mostly toward Neretva. :-) --౪ Santa ౪99° 16:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Santasa: I put it in both "Related" sections for now. Quite Solomonic. :-) Thank you and stay safe U2. :) – KWiki (talk) 01:13, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But, @KWiki: you did good, from hydrological standpoint, that's exactly the nature of these waters on both sides of Neretva, in western Herzegovina all the way to Duvanjsko Polje and Imotski-Vrgorac line, and in eastern from Bioč mt. southward following line well beyond the left bank of Trebišnjica to Popovo Polje. Take care.--౪ Santa ౪99° 20:30, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
