@Ham II: Getting this template created took some time, but if you're interested, I could use your help with organizing these entries. You really have a way of making these templates so much prettier! No rush, but any future help would be appreciated. Happy editing! ---Another Believer(Talk)15:31, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ham II, This is amazing! Thank you so much. I will say, though, I think we should keep the boroughs separate, especially since we have standalone lists of public art in Brooklyn, Manhattan, etc. No doubt the Brooklyn and Manhattan templates will both continue to grow. Thanks again for your work here, truly. ---Another Believer(Talk)14:31, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea, this. I was adding a {{dagger}}toTilted Arc, a sculpture that has been removed, and then realised several of the World Trade Center sculptures could be added. Hope that is OK.
Subsection for Artwork damaged or destroyed in the September 11 attacks[edit]
@Ham II: Thoughts on making "Artwork damaged or destroyed in the September 11 attacks" a subsection of the "Other works" section, and listing those few artworks together? ---Another Believer(Talk)21:51, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Another Believer: I've finally come round to looking at this! I've created a "Damaged/destroyed in 9/11" subsection, and that seems to work.
I still strongly believe that the scope of this template should be expanded to cover public art in New York City as a whole. Yes, there are standalone lists for Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, but that's also true of wards in Washington, D.C. and boroughs in London, and those cities have a single overarching template each: {{Public art in Washington, D.C.}} and {{Public art in London}}. I think that the templates duplicate the job of the lists if Manhattan and Brooklyn are kept as separate navboxes. A single {{Public art in New York City}} would make it easier to compare NYC's holdings with those of other cities. Ham II (talk) 09:06, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
