The correct way to make a proper noun ending in "s" possessive is by adding an apostrophe-s. Arkansas has recently passed a bill declaring that the possessive of Arkansas is "Arkansas's". Texas doesn't appear to have noticed this, but the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen official web site has removed the apostrophe to avoid confusion. I hesitate to modify the "template" to include individual exceptions, but it should not have an apostrophe for the Arkansas entry. Any suggestions? Gruber76 02:50, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
