Please make this navbar (all navbars) start in the collapsed state by default. This one in particular will be used on pages that have at least one other navbar (for the cation), and there is no reason to assume that it will be the most important of the two. (In fact, navbars and navboxes are a scourge that should be removed from Wikipedia. They make pages heavier and more cluttered, and are pretty useless. The seven Wikipedia readers who really want to browse all "sulfate" articles would find a page "List of sulfates" immensely more useful than a navbar -- and it would be much easier to maintain, organize, document, find, search, etc..) I've changed the default state to autocollapse so it will be collapsed except in the unlikely event that it is the only navbar on a page. Abolishing all navbars is beyond the scope of this talk page, but you can hide them for yourself by setting Special:MyPage/common.cssto.navbox { display: none!important } I think.
