2022 video game
Temtem massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Spanish development studio Crema, and published by Humble Bundle . The game was released in early access through Steam on January 21, 2020, and PlayStation 5 on December 8, 2020[2] Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game was released alongside the full release of the game on September 6, 2022. The game uses the Unity development engine, and is a creature-collection video game greatly inspired by Game Freak 's Pokémon [3] crowdfunding platform Kickstarter , from May to June 2018.[4]

In the game, players assume the role of a novice Temtem tamer who starts their journey around the six floating islands of the Airborne Archipelago while facing the threat of Clan Belsoto, an evil organization that plans to take over the islands by force.
Development [ edit ]
Temtem is developed by Crema, a Spanish game development studio. The game was first announced on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in May 2018, with an initial fundraising goal of €61,000.[5] [6] [7] Temtem was launched on Steam's Early Access on January 21, 2020.[8]
On August 6, 2020, it was announced that Temtem would be released on Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.[9] [10] [2]
Temtem sold over 500,000 units on Steam in its first month.[11]
In June 2023, Crema and Humble released a free-to-play variant of the game, titled Temtem: Showdown , with zero microtransactions .[12] [13]
Crema will release Temtem: Swarm , a bullet hell spinoff game inspired by Vampire Survivors , in 2024.[14]
