The Favorite (Spanish:El caballo del pueblo) is a 1935 Argentine musical film comedy directed and written by Manuel Romero with Luis Bayón Herrera.[1] It is a tango film and premiered on August 15, 1935.
The cinematography and editing was performed by Francisco Múgica.
A third, El caballo del pueblo (The people's horse; Manuel Romero, 1935) depicts a father, Gerardo Peña (Juan Mangiante), who forces his daughter Esther (Irma Córdoba) to become engaged to his dishonest associate (Enrique Serrano).
