The Vampires of Bloody Island is a 2009 British comedy horror film directed by Allin Kempthorne and starring Pamela Kempthorne.[1] The film starred Oliver Gray, John Snelling, and Leon Hamilton. The film had a theatrical release in the UK on 3 August 2009, and was released on DVD in January 2010 several weeks ahead of its planned February release date due to an email campaign organized by fans of the film.[2] It was then released in the US on DVD in June 2010.

The Vampires of Bloody Island features music from the bands Inkubus Sukkubus, Vampire Division, Fever, Theatres des Vampires, The Suburban Vamps, and Corpse Nocturna. The title song is "Place of the Dead" by Vampire Division, which reached number one in the Goth Sound click charts.

    Plot[edit]

In a decaying castle atop a remote Cornish island, vampire noble Morticia de' Ath seeks a cure for sunlight vulnerability, aided by her zombie companion and an alchemist. Office workers Kevin Smallcock and Susan Swallows, along with vampire hunter Professor Van Rental, become entangled in their quest. Encountering werewolves, demons, and seductive vampire sirens, the story culminates in a woodland battle against medieval vampire soldiers and their commanding demon officer.
