Underdog Fantasy Sports is an online daily fantasy sports website and mobile app.[1] Founded in 2020, its investors include Mark Cuban, Jared Goff, Kevin Durant, and Adam Schefter. The app was launched in 2020, and as of July 2022 the company had a 485 million dollar valuation.[2][3]

Best Ball[edit]

"Best ball" is a season-long, weekly long, and daily fantasy format, in which the user drafts a team, but there are no managerial moves that the user can make. Once rosters are drafted, they cannot be interfered with. Points are given based on player performance and the highest scoring players are counted towards the users score.[4]

Pick'em[edit]

"Pick'em" is a mode where players will build a parlay with player props. Players will select over or under on a specific players stat and if they get all the picks correct, they win large multiplied payouts. This mode is offered for MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, CBB, CFB, PGA, Tennis, UFC, F1, FIFA and esports.[4] The payouts for pick'em are 3-1 for two picks, 6-1 for three picks, 10-1 for four picks, and 20-1 for five picks.[4]

Payouts for flex bets are as follows:[5]

Legal status[edit]

Underdog is legal for playing best ball and pick'em contests in 31 U.S. states. Only the best ball mode is offered in nine of the states and the app is not yet legal in Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Washington.[6]
