I first joined Wikipedia in 2018. Early on, I began by making small contributions to pages that I came across. This often involved fixing typos, correcting grammatical or spelling errors, adding citations where needed, and doing simple clean-ups of articles (i.e. to improve readability). Once I started to feel a little bit more comfortable editing Wikipedia articles, I began regularly contributing to the article on the municipal election in my area (2018 Durham Region municipal elections). Unfortunately, after that point, I stopped contributing to Wikipedia regularly because I began pursuing graduate studies while still working at the same time! During this time, I occasionally made contributions to articles but these were far and few between.
In 2022, I returned to Wikipedia and have started to be a more frequent contributor.
My "real-world" interests are wide-ranging, and I have highlighted some of them in the userboxes to the right. Having a range of interests tends to make it easier for me to have something in common with many different types of people, which is a
I go to the theatre often, particularly in the Toronto area.
I don't go to the movies often and I also can't say that I watch a lot of movies, but I do enjoy watching movies. I'll watch any genre of movie, but if I had to choose my favourite genres would be horror and comedy. The last movie I saw was Argylle.
I will try to make contributions to any article where I can be of assistance. Sometimes I will help improve articles through making some contributions such as fixing typos, grammar errors, adding citations, and improving readability. Other times I will add in new information to the article, and provide a citation to a credible source. Big or small, I am happy to help out other editors and contributors on Wikipedia in any way that I can!
My major focus at the moment is on improving the presence and the quality of Canadian musical theatre artists, and related pages, on Wikipedia. I believe that Canada significantly lags behind the United States and England in this area, even though Canada has so many artists and companies who are most certainly notable enough to merit inclusion on Wikipedia. I want to work towards reducing this gap so that notable Canadian musical theatre artists and companies have a better presence on Wikipedia.
In my humble opinion, below are some of my notable contributions to Wikipedia that I am most proud of. This includes articles I created, start-class or stub articles that I expanded, articles where I made meaningful significant contributions to and/or cleaned up.
