David has run for parliament on three occasions. Each time as an independent conservative with Libertarian leanings. David is a member of the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) but not a spokesperson or representative. David has applied for membership of the Liberal Party of Australia but was not a member as of the 22nd October 2016.
