Etymology of my username

I am a trans woman . It bothers me how much body hair I have. However, my own irritation is rooted in being transgender.
It is not my intent to speak for people with hirsutism , or to downplay it, mock it, or to suggest that it's not a real and distinct issue.
Interests
[ edit ]
I have broad and capricious interests. I'm a competent woman . I have a BS degree in computer science, and my career is in software engineering. I get a lot of satisfaction from fabricating metal/wood/plastic/leather/fiber, and I'm interested in engineering broadly.
I'm heavily invested in the hard sciences . However, I'm becoming more interested in social sciences, including semiotics, linguistics, history, epistemology, and Foucault.
