I used to flip through the Encyclopedia Britannica reading everything that I could, and Wikipedia is an exponential leap towards a truly universal encyclopedia. NPOV is brilliant!
It is terrific to be able to contribute to the common fund of knowledge, made all the more ironic in that I had the idea (more or less) of this project years ago. But... never thought it could work. Wouldn't people trash everything? Who gets to decide what goes in? Thankfully, there were others with even better ideas who kept the faith. Kudos to all who have made this possible.
