International Inter-University Short Film Festival (IIUSFF) is an annual film festival organized by Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS). It has been running for over a decade with the slogan Take your camera, frame your dream. Its goal is to create a cross-cultural platform for university-going filmmakers all over the world. DUFS, with the motto Better Films, Better Viewers, has been trying for decades to point the future of films towards a better direction. This festival serves as one of the prime examples of such endeavors. Since the 10th edition of IIUSFF, a new category, Short films on refugee has been introduced to address the refugee crisis around the globe.
IIUSFF began its journey in 2007. Since then, it has evolved into a platform for the celebration of diverse but unified voices from all over the world where young filmmakers can learn and materialize their dreams. This festival has, with great success, tried to break the boundaries of conventional cinema-world and recognize the soaring visions of young filmmakers from all over the world.
Over the last 11 years, this festival has been held at TSC auditorium, Alliance Française de Dhaka, Alliance Française de Chittagong, and Goethe-Institut Dhaka.
The 10th and 11th edition of IIUSFF has been organized in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Refugee Agency.
1401 films have been submitted from 96 countries around the world during the 11th edition of IIUSFF.
