Peace. This user is no longer active on Wikipedia.
  • You may contact me as usual at klausmobile@yahoo.com but I don't check this mailbox daily, more like once a week.
  • I won't respond here. The alt account, User:Antique Antics, is laid to rest too.
  • What the hell?[edit]

Hey NVO, what the hell is this retirement nonsense? What has happened to make this occur? --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 14:10, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    Horses in World War I[edit]

Hi. I just posted on the Good article nominations page my intention to review Horses in World War I only to find a review was already in progress on the page. In future, please note when you are reviewing an article nominated for Good article status here so people know the article is actually being reviewed. I have tweaked the listed nomination of the above article to display your name as reviewer now. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 01:34, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I would like to review the article, but I am also a little busy in RL at the moment as well, trying to organise things for university. Community de-Adminship - finalization poll for the CDA proposal[edit]

After tolling up the votes in the revision proposals, it emerged that 5.4 had the most support, but elements of that support remained unclear, and various comments throughout the polls needed consideration.

    Horses in World War I[edit]

Hi NVO. I just wanted to contact you to see if you were going to be returning to your review of the Horses in World War I article. It has been over a week since you last posted there, and in the meantime both Montanabw and I have responded to the remainder of your comments. There has also been further discussion on the talk page with two other editors who have provided more sources/input, and I have managed to find a bit more information on European/Russian cavalries and usage of horses. As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:

    1. Proposal to Close This RfC

    Inquest[edit]

Hi, NVO! Just wanted to tell you that you are a horrible horrible liar (yes, I refer to that "no longer active" bit on top of the page). Well, that, and also another thing. I'm distributing a small stockpile of rollbacker rights I have piled up in the corner of my corner office :) and was wondering if that's something you would be able to make a use of. If so, just give me a holler and I'll happily oblige. If not, feel free to continue to no longer be active. Embassy of Tajikistan in Moscow[edit]

Hey NVO, my bestest bestest friend :)....Can you see that Embassy of Tajikistan in Moscow is a redlink? That's not a good thing eh? The embassy website has some detailed info on the building itself, and you have taken a nice, nice photo of the building. But some of the architectural description is a little too "detailed" for me to translate correctly. Any interest from your side in putting this one on one of your to-do lists at all? ;) --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 20:12, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look into it over the next two weeks but not this one. NVO (talk) 03:37, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks mate, also I stumbled across this article which may be of some interest to you - shame that Russian bureaucracy yet again allows a historic building to be destroyed! --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 09:32, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's an old story (and screams for an AFD). The "historic building" was nothing more than a plywood barak, but placed in quite a spectacular setting. You can buy half of Queensland for the price of this lot. Wanna trade? OT, have you heard of the stuff that's eating up Russian wikipedia - more than all etnic/faith/fringe crap combined? ru:Права животных, ru:Дело Худоярова and its spinoffs... Weird. NVO (talk) 10:16, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you left some comments re the Russian regiments on the talk page. I'm not sure I understood what you meant, but I think I've fixed it so it complies. would you take a look? Auntieruth55 (talk) 17:07, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adjusted peer review of the WSC[edit]

FYI. I adjusted The Whistler Sliding Centre per your peer review if you wish to look. Chris (talk) 14:31, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    Seen this?[edit]

First of all you have messages on my talk page. Secondly, have you seen User:Russavia/Required_photos#Moscow yet? Don't suppose you have any of those in your yet to be uploaded queues or anything like that? --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 06:24, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    Legend![edit]

Thanks mate, you're a bloody legend. I was actually gonna ask you about the Australian ambassador's residence, which you have as File:Prechistenskaya nab 3 June 2009 01.JPG, File:Prechistenskaya nab 3 June 2009 02.JPG and File:Prechistenskaya nab 3 June 2009 04.JPG. Are you sure this is the Aussie ambassador's residence? GlavUpDK has an article on their website at this link which states Кропоткинский пер., д.13, стр.1,2,3 is the Aussie ambassador's residence; if you look at this photo, on the left hand side of the gate you can see the coat of arms with the kangaroo and emu on it. Could it be this is the old Aussie ambassador's residence, and is now used by some other country? --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 04:41, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the reference. I agree an electronic fuze is relatively unlikely at that date and suggest you modify the article to conform to your reference. My reference citation applied to the whole paragraph; and should be retained at the end of the previous sentence.Thewellman (talk) 16:57, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    Wrangel Island[edit]

An anon has questioned the translation (transliteration?) ' "Zapovednik" (a "strict nature reserve")' in the intro to Wrangel Island. Google translate does not think Zapovednik is Russian, but it presents its suggested alternative in Cyrillic, so I still need a transliteration. Also is the sense of a "strict nature reserve" correct, or is it simply a reserve? Thanks Dankarl (talk) 12:41, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
