Meathead Goldwyn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meathead_Goldwyn is one of only 35 living members of the Barbecue Hall of Fame as of this writing (Oct. 2023). He is the author of the New York Times Best Seller "Meathead: The Science of Great Barbecue and Grilling" 2016 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (now Harper Collins). It was called one of the "100 Best Cookbooks of All Time" by Southern Living Magazine, named one of "22 Essential Cookbooks for Every Kitchen" By Daniel Gritzer of SeriousEats.com, and named one of "25 Favorite Cookbooks of All Time" by readers of Christopher Kimball's Milkstreet. He is the founder and publisher of https://AmazingRibs.com by far the largest and most popular barbecue and grilling website in the world.

He has served as food and drink columnist of the Chicago Tribune and the Washington Post, taught at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, taught at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, directed AOL's Food & Drink Network for 3 years, and founded the Beverage Testing Institute, the World Wine Championships, World Beer Championships, and World Spirits Championships. He has been a Contributing Editor for Restaurant Hospitality magazine and wrote the first column for the Huffington Post's food section.

He is a Kansas City Barbeque Association Certified BBQ Judge, and he has been Chief Judge of the Kingsford Invitational, the Kickoff Riboff at the College Football Hall of Fame, Chief Judge of the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, and has served on food and drink judging panels from Italy to Nova Scotia to California.

He has a Masters of Fine Art from the Art Institute of Chicago, his photos have appeared in numerous publications, and his fine art prints are included in several collections. His hobby is raising puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind https://leaderdog.org.
