2023 UPDATE: DON'T CALL ME "RETIRED" — so-called "retirement" is simply one more system for people to game. However, my time for this project has certainly declined. The need to blank a user page which has become mostly outdated and irrelevant, due to the lack of time necessary to correct its deficiencies, is but one sign. There are a lot of things I could say, but let's make it really simple. I've been forced to evolve as a human being in recent years. This project is not attempting to evolve. The constant obsession with putting lipstick on a pig to mask the widespread lack of substance throughout the encyclopedia is glaring. Its most active users could have done something to correct that but chose not to. Worse yet, they hold this view of "second-class editors" whose job it is to do the real work they refuse to do, and they've set up various devices to micromanage and even outright control their contributions. The end result? 1) This project long ago showed that it was more interested in being predictable than informative. 2) Six million articles isn't shit to brag about. These same geniuses have deluded themselves into believing that "the sum of all human knowledge" will eventually be achieved by automating things through Wikidata. I have news for you. It's many of the same people with the same fucked-up mindset over there. Content-wise, much of that project is in far worse shape than much of this project. If anyone's serious about "the sum of all human knowledge", throw me a bone. All I'm doing right now is reliving the conversations of 10–15 years ago with people in the real world where I was ridiculed for taking part in this project. At least back then, there was significant mainstream interest in the project which doesn't exist today. Has anyone taken a good look lately at Google searches, specifically how far down the page encyclopedia entries tend to rate?
