The 2022–23 NAFU Regions League is the fourth edition of the NAFU Regions League a quaternary association club football tournament for CONCACAF teams located in the North American Football Union countries.
The format once again changed for the NAFU regions league, with all MLS, Liga MX, and Canadian Premier League teams earning qualification into the final tournament that did not make the Champions, SuperLiga, or Confederations Leagues. MLS teams ranked 11th through 27th, Liga MX teams ranked 11th through 18th and the four CPL teams not already qualified to a competition would be guaranteed 27 of the 32 group stage spots. They would be joined by four other clubs that could earn a spot through qualifying. These would include the second and third division champions from the United States and Mexico as well as teams from Cascadia, Quebec, Acadiana, Greenland, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Geographically, Bermuda, while in North America, participates in CFU competitions.
The schedule of the competition is as follows. All matches are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Scheduled kick-off times starting from the play-off round are 18:45 and 21:00 EST/EDT.
As the 2022 FIFA World Cup takes place in Qatar between 20 November and 18 December 2022, the group stage commenced in the final week of July 2022 and will conclude in the first week of September 2022 to make way for the World Cup. Qualification rounds were reduced to a single leg played at a neutral site to make with for the World Cup.
The draws for the qualifying round started at 12:00 CEST/CET and were held at the CONCACAF headquarters in New York City, United States. The away goals rule was abolished.
