Amazons get the drop on you

[edit]

So I'm poking around Wikimedia. And I'm looking for amazons, as you do.

I'm finding the usual ancient dying amazon sculptures, or the amazonmachies—y'know, the meticulously painted or sculpted scenes of entirely mythological battles between men and women where the former are trouncing the latter, because there's no nervous excuse making or guilt involved there.

When I suddenly stumble upon this ---------------->

Apparently, she's in northern Turkey right now, flanked by giant golden lions, while she herself is snarling at the Black Sea.

The only place this seems to show up is under "spear" (Mizrak) on the Turkish Wiki.

Looks like somebody needs an article...
