Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Ed Stewart, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Hi,

I noticed a few of your recent edits used the edit summary "improved link", when changing a redirect to a "piped" link. Please note that Wikipedia generally prefers simple redirected links over links that are "piped" unnecessarily.

Let me quote a very brief excerpt from WP:NOPIPE:

N [[Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart|Mozart]]

Y [[Mozart]]

so:

N [[Bank of Italy|Banca d'Italia]]

Y [[Banca d'Italia]]

and

N [[Looe|West Looe]]

Y [[West Looe]]

etc.

Have a read of the advice given at MOS:LINK, particularly WP:NOTBROKEN, MOS:NOPIPE and WP:NOPIPE.

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users.
