Hello there, I see that you've done some editing on Yoshiro Nakamatsu. Motherboard.tv has done an interview with him in his lab in Tokyo.I think this could be added as an external link or reference. http://www.motherboard.tv/2010/3/3/dr-nakamats-patently-strange--[edit]

It would be interesting to include Dr. Nakamatsu in the list of prolific inventors. However, the only evidence that I can find that he has made over 3,000 inventions is because he says so. The US patent office lists only 6 utility patents. Of course, electronically searchable records do not extend to before 1976, so there are undoubtedly some that are not caught by a search on the USPTO. However, of the six that are listed, the dates are: 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1983, and 1991. If the rate of 6 patents over the last 32 years is anything to go by, Dr. Nakamatsu may have a further 10 patents or so - not enough to make it onto the list of prolific inventors. Most of the 'inventions' in the video that you linked to were obviously flaky. It also appears that his claim to have invented the floppy disk is false. From this, and from other material on the web relating to Dr. Nakamatsu, it would appear that he is primarily a self-promoter, not so much an inventor. Addition[edit]

Please add Imad Libbus to the list of "inventors to watch." Currently at 169 US patents, and increasing by ~20/year. (Patentdocs credits 143 patents as "St. Paul, Minnesota" and 26 as "Saint Paul, Minnesota".) Ixl333 (talk) 19:50, 3 July 2015 (UTC) Ixl333 (talk) 19:51, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please add Kunal Parekh to the list of “prolific inventors”. Currently at 205 US Patents December 5, 2019 — Preceding unsigned comment added by KBOIwiki (talkcontribs) 04:13, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What About Wael?[edit]

Hi, I came across this guy called Wael Diab at the 2011 TechAmerica Awards last year and have kept tabs on him since.[1] Keeping track of this high-flyer, his patents have doubled in the last year. He's now #35 on the list of Top 100 Inventors according to faqs.org.[2] Doing a quick search on the data for this, he has I think now 123 issued patents in the US,[3] some 340 patents pending in the US,[4] and 527 hits worldwide (inc. US).[5] Do you think he merits a mention? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.149.96.101 (talk) 05:46, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thanks, I have included Wael Diab in the tracking list on this page and on the List of Prolific Inventors talk page. When he exceeds the threshold for the list (300 granted US utility patents or worldwide patent families), I shall add him to the main list. The faqs.org list you mention is a list of inventors ranked by US patent applications since 2009, not a list of inventors by granted patent number. Disambiguation link notification for March 17[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of prolific inventors, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Nuclear and Batteries (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
