Well done[edit]

Fish welfare at slaughter - great article - well done! __DrChrissy (talk) 13:53, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! As you may recall, I was (and am) a huge fan of Pain in invertebrates. It's such an important article. I'm not sure if you have any interest in connecting by email, but if so, feel free to write to me at the email address on my website. Brian Tomasik (talk) 11:20, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

UK or US English?[edit]

Hi. I have been doing some editing of Fish welfare at slaughter and I noticed there was a mix of UK english and US English. As the creator, which was your intention for the article?__DrChrissy (talk) 09:25, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't notice. :) My guess is that in the long run, US English is better because there are more US readers in the world. I'm also a US speaker, so I assume most of the language is US English already. Brian Tomasik (talk) 11:22, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I noticed after I posted the message that you are from the US and guessed that US English would be the preferred format. I suggest you change it to be consistent throughout the article, or if you wait a couple of days, I will get around to changing it. All the best. __DrChrissy (talk) 23:22, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I may wait for you, since I'm not sure I'd spot the instances myself. :) The only one that I see offhand is "World Organisation for Animal Health" (in US it'd be "Organization"), but I'm not sure if it makes sense to change that given that the official name on the website is "Organisation". :) Brian Tomasik (talk) 23:28, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If that is their official name, then is should stay spelt that way. There are not many changes needed for the article - I'll do them tomorrow. Once again - great article - well done! __DrChrissy (talk) 23:36, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

animal rights article[edit]

The Original Barnstar
For creating an article that was needed and contributing a vast amount of quality information to it! Turn➦ 14:47, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you're the creator of Animal welfare and rights in China and just want to say thanks for creating it! I've always thought wikipedia needed an article about the subject and you've done a great job writing about it (I have always wanted to write about it but could never gather all the info about it, such a huge subject). PS Have a barnstar for your work on it! Good job! Turn➦ 14:47, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much. ^_^ Best wishes on your editing as well. Brian Tomasik (talk) 19:58, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
