I think you're misunderstanding the point the user is bringing up.

I still eventually want to get it up to FA article status, recent there has been a Slipknot WikiProject started and we are just trying to get it rolling so we can begin to set tasks and focus on different articles. Maybe you would like to join? WP:SLIP. Rezter TALK 06:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I have come here to invite you as well. ThundermasterTRUC 13:52, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey, the band has its own website now. They have a group picture on their Myspace and their official website. I was wondering if you knew how to put images on Wikipedia, cuz I don't. Can you help me put one here for the article? Here are some links to help get you started:
How do you ask permission from flickr, then? Email? I'll get the image myself. I created the page for that band, so it's kind of personal. I'm just a little embarrased that I've been a part of Wikipedia for so long and I've never figured out how to upload an image. Dark Executioner (talk) 19:05, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner
Thanks, I'll be sure to ask him for assistance. You take care too. Dark Executioner (talk) 19:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Dark Executioner
I have Done what you wanted there! I hope it satisfies the GA for you! Thanks for the praise! I guess you could say that we're pretty experienced with getting articles promoted, knowing what needs to be done, but it's still always nice to have someone say it. --rm 'w avu 02:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi I saw that you commented on the guitar hero 3 discussion board. I just would like to know if it is not a problem to give the cheats for guitar hero 3 on ps2. I just got the game yesterday. My parents blocked me from every gaming site and i cant get cheats. Can you please respond on my talk? Thank you. Neon6419 (talk) 04:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Dude, look I really think you did a great job with AIC, its just that I think you missed a vital source of information in magazine articles. The prose and everything is actually fixable. As for "knowing" so much, I have seen how FAC discussions go and what articles, especially music articles, are supposed to contain. Just because I don't have much editing experience (I intend to rectify that), I do know how to give peer review. Its like how film/music critics do their job despite never having actually created music/movies.
And as for Geocities/Stargate being unreliable, all I'm asking you to do is search for magazine articles reprinted over there. What difference does it make whether you actually read the paper magazine or just an uploaded (but copyvio) article on the net. In the end, you will be citing the magazine article (magazine name, author name, title of article, date of publication) itself, NOT geocities/stargate. indopug (talk) 07:35, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure all of your issues there are done. =) --rm 'w avu 08:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey man, what's up?! i just wanted to tell you GREAT job on Opeth's article... couldnt be any better!! i followed you from the start and it was all nice work!! keep it up man :) Maged M. Mahfouz (talk) 13:27, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Sure thing, I'll take a look sometime today or tomorrow. --Brandt Luke Zorn (talk) 09:28, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Sure thing, I'll get them up as soon as possible. --Brandt Luke Zorn (talk) 04:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I already got four responses from last night's search, which includes some of the better pictures I found. Let me know how and when I can show you the pictures I got permission for. GrimmC (talk) 16:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
I was waiting for your Drewcifer's final review. That was just partial. =) --BritandBeyonce (talk) 04:10, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice man, i removed them :) Oh, if you need anything at all for the Opeth article please dont hesitate to ask... would love to help on my favourite band's article :D Maged M. Mahfouz (talk) 10:51, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Opeth Orchid.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey man, what's up?! if i want to create a template for a band, what should i do?! Also, why did you remove 'selected' from 'selected discography' in the Opeth article?! the page does show the selected discography... A link doesnt count as the whole discography, or does it?! :S Maged M. Mahfouz (talk) 21:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about ignoring the Chevelle GAN. Honestly, I kinda forgot about it. My fault. I'll try and get to it in the next day or two. Please accept my apologies. Drewcifer (talk) 11:51, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey, good work on Opeth. After a cursory glance the main problem I see is no song samples (add about four or so with detailed captions that explain their style at the time). Also change those AMG refs from (((Still Life))) to Still Life album review, so that its clear what the link points to (I know thats how it is in the actual site, but clarity comes first in this case.) I don't really like the bI'll give a detailed review later on. n I'd also like it if you did the GA review of "Touch Me I'm Sick", which I've nominated. I don't see why you've put AIC for nomination again, I'm afraid I'll have to strong oppose iagain per the same concerns I had the last time (prose and comprehensiveness). I honestly suggest you withdraw it from FAC; whats the hurry anyway? Like I promised before I will help with the prose once you've tracked down the sources I asked you to. Cheers, indopug (talk) 06:22, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
I have added a (rather long) review on the Opeth PR, and will take a look at the Nightwish FAR later- not too big on the FAR/FAC scene though, so no guarantees I'll comment. J Milburn (talk) 18:16, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry man, i heard about them before but listened to a couple of songs only!! dont know much about them and cant say much about them... but good luck anyway!! :) Maged M. Mahfouz (talk) 04:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Honestly, any work I provide for Alice in Chains will be slow right now. For one, it's raining in my area for the next few days, and I don't want to carry my laptop to the library in the rain. Even then, I have work and don't often have free time during library business hours. Certainly do as much work as you can, but until I can help with the article, I'd recommend withdrawing the FAC. WesleyDodds (talk) 06:56, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I have created a new task for the Slipknot Project, it's called the Article of Focus. You can see what this task is for and its aims here. The first AoF is Slipknot (album). As you are a member of the project, your participation in this taks is greatly welcomed and the quicker and better that we improve the article the more efficient the project will become. Rezter TALK 13:22, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
No problem, I hope this helps elevate the article, because it's very well done. 75pickup (talk · contribs) 18:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I left some comments there. --BritandBeyonce (talk) 07:22, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
