Welcome!

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Buscus 3! Thank you for your contributions. I am WeijiBaikeBianji and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 20:33, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks User:WeijiBaikeBianilWeijiBaikeBianji for welcoming me! Those tips will be helpful in the future! (Buscus 3 (talk) 05:29, 20 April 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Somehow my edit summary got deleted, but I wanted you to know I reverted your change of "April 11th" etc back to "April 11" per the Wikipedia guideline for date formats. Shearonink (talk) 18:22, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for correcting me. I didn't see that article. Sorry about that edit summary. Buscus 3 (talk) 01:14, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Illinois

[edit]

Hey Buscus 3 -- I didn't want to just undo your edits, since it would probably mess it up. But wanted to provide a correction about Kanye's (and potentially other candidates) access to the Illinois ballot. Per the article you cited (and other news coverage), he isn't actually on the ballot yet -- "Filing before the deadline doesn't necessarily mean West has a guaranteed spot on the ballot. Officials still need to count how many signatures his representatives have turned in on his behalf." It's pretty common for a bunch of signatures to be rejected, and it isn't official until those are actually certified.--Yaksar (let's chat) 12:59, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, I will make some changes to make that clear. Buscus 3 (talk) 23:01, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!--Yaksar (let's chat) 02:26, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:44, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"District created on"

[edit]

If that's going to be multiple columns move the date outside the date column, then shouldn't it be outside the table entirely? —GoldRingChip 13:16, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the <br/> you put in the table of Arkansas's 3rd congressional district, caused a problematic line break. —GoldRingChip 13:25, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it looked the best to have the beginning date cover the top of the table, instead of outside or only covering part of it. Buscus 3 (talk) 22:35, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Buscus 3. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Electoral history of Eleanor Holmes Norton".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:45, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Some people (not me, but apparently others) like to view changes by reading the edit summaries rather than viewing the diff, so they likely find it inconvenient when an edit (even a minor one!) does not have an edit summary. Thanks, and happy edit summary-ing!
