Hi, re this edit. Please place articles into as narrow and specific category as possible, and not into any general categories (like Category:The Holocaust) to avoid overpopulating these broad categories. Thanks, Renata (talk) 10:27, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

[edit]

When this diff went by on my watchlist, I was worried from the edit summary that it might not be very NPOV! I had a good chuckle when I saw what the change was - Astrophobe (talk) 16:57, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

haha!!! I tried to explain the edit but it looked like i was digging myself in a hole anyway! Glad you Astrophobe checked! I have done some editing to the French version of this article - the English version may need a bit more work as i couldn't double check a lot of the facts --Charc2018 (talk) 17:08, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023

[edit]

Information icon Hi Charc2018! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 15:01, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I am aware of the rule and also mindful not to overcrowd the watchlists of contributors. Is there a specific "minor edit" that was mis-categorised? Charc2018 (talk) 18:04, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There's quite a few. Any adding categories or references or photos should not be minor for instance. -Kj cheetham (talk) 18:41, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Charc2018, and welcome to Women in Red. As you're such an active contributor to the French wiki, it's good to see you have decided to spend some of your editing time writing about women in English. I see you have recently created quite a few. You are obviously a highly experienced contributor but if you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look at some of our essays, perhaps starting with our Primer. If you would like others to see your interest in the project, you might like to sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:14, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ipigott! Thank you for your welcoming message. This is so sweet. You noticed well, I have edited a few women biographies in English because, in these cases, I thought it was more impactful. Thank you for taking the time to review them too.
I have added my name to "new registrations", I thought the userbox template for WIR would add me automatically but it didn't. The Primer is quite useful, appreciate being made aware. Let's keep in touch! Charc2018 (talk) 18:34, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
