Hi, "cannot" is incorrect; when there is little to write about a topic, we generally combine pages (see WP:PAGEDECIDE). Here, there is little point in having separate pages when readers who care about the 2nd generation HomePod will find most of the information about the 1st generation relevant. @TheManInTheBlackHat: more precisely, this was a cut-and-paste move (against a small consensus of two users, me and another, against a split), with the original article turned into a redirect. Relevant page histories: HomePod, HomePod (1st generation), HomePod (2nd generation). This is a proper mess (edit: now fixed). Farzam, bold article splits are fine, but you shouldn't try to force it through if other editors oppose; you need consensus in those cases, which you can obtain through discussion on the talk page. "should not" is a declaration, not an argument. Both generations match criteria 2, 4 and 5 of WP:MERGEREASON (and arguably criteria 3 as well), and therefore belong in a single article. Since you have again reverted the redirect, I'll again recommend you please read WP:CONSENSUS. Please revert your revert, and seek consensus before restoring the split, as you should under Wikipedia policies. 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. While it appears to be notable, it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. There are large sections which are wholly uncited. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
