Thank you for reaching out. I am trying to start small here. The Ball Ground city page has referenced Gibbs Gardens for years, and I thought a link to the Gibbs Gardens web site would be useful. I understand now from looking through the contributors resources that the place to put it be NOT in the main part of the page but in the EXTERNAL LINKS section at the bottom. Or do you think that even that would not be acceptable? Your advice is appreciated. Gardendcs (talk) 18:15, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A link to a garden in a city would not be warranted in the external links section for the article about that city per WP:ELNO #13, as a business in a city is only indirectly related to the city itself, even if that business is a garden and indeed even if it were not a business. I would suggest using Wikipedia:Articles for creationtowrite the article first before adding links to it on other articles. - Aoidh (talk) 19:45, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Gibbs Gardens and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.

avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
I am a member of Gibbs Gardens and have volunteered there. I was unsure how to represent that. It seems that people would be most interested in creating articles where they were interested in the topic. The references / citations for this are varied and legitimate. the article is fact based. Declare your conflict of interest fully and accurately on your currently blank user page. There is a very big difference between being "interested" in a topic, and having a conflict of interest. For example, I am very interested in Abraham Lincoln, but have no conflict of interest whatsoever with that article. Cullen328 (talk) 05:43, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
