Welcome!

Hello, Gatorfan6, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Dart Monkey, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Buggie111 (talk) 23:34, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dart Monkey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Buggie111 (talk) 23:34, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

Hey, Gator Fan.

Welcome. Just thought I would say "hey," and let you know that there are a few other active Florida alumni and Gator fans lurking around Wikipedia. If you have any questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to ask either on my talk page or by email (there's a link under "Toolbox" on the left side of my talk page). Citing sources

[edit]

To cite a source you can use <ref> (at the beginning) and then </ref> at the end and place the URL link in between (example:<ref>[-HTTP URL link- -title of the page-]</ref>. Other times, if you use <ref>{{cite web|url=|title=|last=|first=|date=|publisher=|accessdate=}}</ref>, here's an example how it would appear: <ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.freshdialogues.com/2008/11/25/martin-sheen-the-activist-and-actor/|title=Martin Sheen, the Activist and Actor|date=25 November 2008|publisher=Fresh Dialogues|first=Alison van|last=Diggelen|accessdate=20 July 2011}}</ref>

This second one is mainly used for newspaper or magazine links, i.e. Forbes or People magazine. If you're wondering what accessdate means, it's used when someone adds a news article but it wasn't published that same day, example: User 1 found a source from August 8, 2003, so that user would put the current date on the accessdate column, September 26, 2011). I hope this answers your question and if you have any other questions, leave me a message. SwisterTwister talk 00:40, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Donald R. Dizney Stadium requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". File source problem with File:Adenanthos drummondii plant.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Adenanthos drummondii plant.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Adenanthos drummondii plant.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Adenanthos drummondii plant.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mlpearc powwow 23:21, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please read this tag completely, and do not remove it until you have supplied the required license information. Thank you Mlpearc powwow 00:05, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
