File permission problem with File:Rhys ifans rdh hat.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rhys ifans rdh hat.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 12:32, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Javier weyler rdh.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Javier weyler rdh.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 21:01, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Description has now been added. Thank you. ilgrosso 22:18, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Martin Davies (designer, writer and political theorist)[edit]

articles titles for individuals with ambiguous names are to "qualify" them from other individuals with the same name...NOT to "describe" who and/or what the individual is and/or does. please reference WP:QUALIFIER for proper naming conventions. --emerson7 08:55, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Uned cymru.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Uned cymru.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:05, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright of logos[edit]

You may have taken a photo, File:Red dragonhood label.jpg, of that label, but that doesn't mean you own copyright of that logo. I've speedily deleted the image. Fences&Windows 21:36, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you actually do own the copyright, then you can confirm this to WP:OTRS, but please be aware that by releasing the logo under a Creative Commons license you would have no control over others using that image (though there would still be trademark protection). Fences&Windows 21:50, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Newid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to be an advert for a non-notable political party, which has only ever received coverage in a couple of articles in the local paper, the Western Mail.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fences&Windows 21:44, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Boxette desmond star internal.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}tothe top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Fences&Windows 21:52, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Fences&Windows 20:09, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of The Red Dragonhood[edit]

The article The Red Dragonhood has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Clearly promotional article with no evidence of passing WP:CORP. Synthesis, puffery, one RS actually about the subject, and an extended section all about a media hoax perpetrated by the founder but nothing to do with notability for the design firm. Part of a promotional cluster created several years ago.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
