Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to 2022 FIFA World Cup, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I had reverted an edit which created duplicate paragraphs and were thus unnecessary. — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 18:18, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of European Cup and UEFA Champions League winning players, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mario David. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:08, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:51, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm a bit frustrated that you removed my WP:BOLD page move with the only comment being Discuss?, if you look on the talk page I posted a topic on November 28 suggesting the move and had one person agree that the title was incorrect - you could have just joined the conversation there. You note that there are 'some players with only 3 appearances', you seem to have misread the table, it only shows players that were listed in four World Cup squads and played in 3, it doesn't currently show players that were named in three WC squads and played in those tournaments. The page title says 'multiple' which means 2+, at present there is zero justification for players with 2 or three WC appearances being excluded. I'm sure that there are a lot more players that are excluded here, as it is much more regular for a player to be 'at their peak' for 8-12 years, with those being in their national squad over a 16 year period being much more rare. The re-title was the easiest way to make the page make sense, as the amount of work to include the (potentially hundreds) of players to have appeared in more than one World Cup might take a long time - at which point the title could be adjusted back. Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Flix11 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Flix11. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be revertedordeleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
