I first saw this article when it was still in mainspace and I wanted to tag it for speedy deletion, but G11 seemed inappropriate because per WP:G11 it is meant only for blatant advertisements, and the article actually seemed reasonably neutral and encyclopaedic, while A7 seemed inappropriate because the article apparently included some coverage in reliable sources (this being of course a lower bar than notability as examined at AfD). All I could do, or so I thought, was tag it with Template:COI. This only adds an orange tag to the article, as opposed to for example Template:Copypaste which adds a red tag implying the content in question must be deleted promptly. So it was my understanding that there was no basis on which to speedy the article and it would have to be PRODed or AfDed. Did you delete it because the tone was overly promotional or was it because of the COI issue? Un assiolo (talk) 19:58, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This page was created back in 2019 and was reviewed short thereafter. There seemed to be quite a few contributors as well, not just one or two. I was reading the page when you deleted it. Was it really unambigous advertising or promotion? Maybe it can be reverted to the last non-advertising diff instead? Jonteemil (talk) 15:14, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
HiJimfbleak, you recently deleted a page that I was creating for a former professor of mine, William E. Paterson. He sent me the text to create a page for him. Unfortunately, that text was very similar or the same as the one that Aston University in the UK used on its page for him. It was deleted for copyright reasons. Could you please allow me to have access to the deleted material again, so that I can amend it so that it does not infringe any copyright? MAny thanks! Some info:

Hi Jimfbleak,
You deleted a draft I was doing on an app I use on my phone. URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Count.It_draft&action=edit&redlink=1
I'm learning how to do Wikipedia editing and I think I can now address the concerns raised for why it was deleted. I am going to retry but it is suggested that I reach out to you first. Is it best to create a new page or have this one available to edit?

Hello @Jimfbleak. I was informed you removed a page I'd created about the zero g coffee cup. I'd like to reapply the page for consideration as I believe its removal was unwarranted. I can correct any citations you specifically want removed, but having reviewed them, I have trouble seeing issue with them. All citations were from reputable primary sources, per the Wikipedia Reliable Sources page (these being, exclusively, the US Government Patent Office, NASA, and NatGeo), and were listed appropriately in all areas where potential subjectivity required a fact to back it up. I have no social, financial, or literal connection to this item - I am just a humble spaceflight and microgravity aficionado that thought it deserved its own page, seeing as it is literally the first item legally invented in space. Ever. If the ScrubDaddy can have its own Wikipedia page, this should too. Literally no one commercializes it either. I'd appreciate any further guidance on rectifying this removal and reinstating the page, as I think it deserves a little place in online history. I am here to support anything you may need from me on this. Thank you. Gspinty1 (talk) 22:40, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your help with the infobox. Regards, Karol739 (talk) 13:06, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, you previously gave me some advice regarding a Wikipedia page that I had submitted, which had been removed for copyright infringement. I have now redone this page and referenced every sentence and fixed my tone to be more neutral. You had suggested that I can send this page to you to proofread before submitting it and to reduce the chances of my contribution being undone. This is the link to the page: Draft:Adam Elshaug. I have also declared the conflict of interest and alternative account. Let me know what you think and whether I need to make any more changes before submitting this draft for review. Hi [[User:Jimfbleak|Jimfbleak], thanks for your message about my draft. It's actually my first full article on wikipedia. I couldn't save it as a draft so I just submitted it. I was intending to carry on editing it over the next week or so. I would appreciate any help I can get to get it up to wikipedia standards. One Angry Penguin (talk) 13:52, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
