HMS Argenta

[edit]

You added material about HMS Argenta to the Irish War of Independence article. If this is to remain, you need to say where you got the information about it. If you don't know how to do that, drop me a line at user talk:Red King --Red King (talk) 13:39, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good work - its a pity that the source is a blog or discussion board. I recommend that you use WikiCommons (commons.wikimedia.org) for the upload because the instructions there are clearer. Before you spend a lot of time, there is a critical crition that you have to meet: copyright. Whoever took the photo has to have been dead for more than 70 years - though there is a loophole in that US law says 1923 and the servers are in the US of A. What I suggest you do is study carefully this image
First dail eireann 1919
and look at the two permissions claimed for it. If you are sure it would match these, copy the coding of the permissions and paste them into your submission. You may have to create a new account on Commons - just use the same name and p/w and 'link' it to wikipedia account. Let me know how you get on, though expect to wait a few days for a reply. --Red King (talk) 19:53, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission Winnequaheagh

[edit]

Hello Jmont1. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Winnequaheagh.

If you no longer want this submission, it will shortly be deleted. However, if you wish to keep it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}or{{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Winnequaheagh}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will place the undeleted submission in your user space.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. j⚛e deckertalk 05:20, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

There is no need to undelete Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Winnequaheagh, because the article exists in main space. Apologies: the format of the notification above is misleading, it is meant to refer to the AfC submission but has been set up so that it seems to refer to the article. I will see what I can do about that. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:26, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Seton Village, New Mexico into Ernest Thompson Seton. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:18, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
