Go ahead and switch it back. Apologies. Neutralitytalk 05:40, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why did you deem it necessary to move this page, without any form of consultation over the redirect. The page was moved from that page as it is out of sync with other titles. Can you please do one of two things: Revert your unilateral decision or start a discussion and revert your unilateral decision.--17:39, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
I have reverted your unilateral move. Now you only have one option; start a discussion.--Lucy-marie (talk) 17:43, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thanks very much for your contributions on French topics. Here's a tip that may save you some time: I see you're familiar with the {{lang}}-series of templates, such as {{lang-fr}}. For example in this edit, where you added:
{{lang-fr|[[Revue des Deux Mondes]]|label=none}}
→ Revue des Deux Mondes
adding the |label=none
to suppress the "French:" prefix that would have been supplied without it. But you don't need to do this. All of the {{lang-xx}}
templates are accompanied by a sister template {{lang|xx}}
, so you can instead just code this:
{{lang|fr|[[Revue des Deux Mondes]]}}
→ Revue des Deux Mondes
without the |label=none
, and get the same result you originally wanted. I generally use {{lang-fr}}
only for whatever the first French expression is in the article (or first in section, if the article is long), and {{lang|fr}}
for all the rest of them. Hope this helps! Mathglot (talk) 23:36, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
