Hello there, I'm not certain you were notified but the page you started for Sounds True was nominated by another editor for speedy deletion and I have recently reviewed and deleted it. It took me some time to make the decision because this is quite clearly a bona fide company and the article was in no way promotional. However the article made no assertions of notability, specifically nothing that I could see that met the criteria at WP:ORG. I did do a Google search to see if I could find any decent secondary sources but couldn't find anything that wasn't the company's own website or an obvious press release.
However, thinking that you might be able to find some sources yourself I have copied the text of the page to your userspace here. At least that way your work is not lost and is safe while you gather some sources. I felt it was the safest thing to do as I could not in all conscience decline the speedy but the article obviously might be sourcable. If you manage to find some sources and want to get a second opinion on a rewrite, I'd be happy to have a look. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 22:02, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.
We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.
We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 19:54, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

Thanks for uploading File:Beherenowcvr.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I've reversed your change because literature includes poetry and people who wrote poetry for children belong on this list. Looking at Tanwir Phool's awards list, some or all of his poetry appears to be aimed at children. Bmcln1 (talk) 19:49, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Woodrose,
At the moment, there is no featured list of books by subject, so the closest thing we have to established precedent is authorial bibliographies like George Orwell bibliography. The relevant guideline is found here, although it does not make the solution for the current case immediately clear. In general, list entries do not have to be independently notable in order for their inclusion on a list to be justified. Nonetheless, if there are a significant number of notable books about Oakland, California and an additionally unmanageable number of non-notable books on the subject, only the notable books should be included. If, however, there is a very small number of notable books on the subject, non-notable books should be included as well. In that case, the inclusion criterion I would recommend is to only include those non-notable books that can be verified by reliable, secondary sources. While that criterion is not made explicit in the guideline, it is standard practice for articles like List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters where an unmanageable number of entries could be included that must rely entirely on primary sources. I hope you find this information useful! Let me know if I can help out in any other way.

Hello Mercurywoodrose. You deleted the short poem in the article on Adrien Stoutenburg on grounds of copyright violation. I believe you are incorrect about this. My understanding is that short poems may be quoted in their entirety for purposes of research and criticism; this is part of the fair use doctrine, and is commonly done in newspapers, magazines, and scholarly work. It is not possible to discuss a poet's work without being able to quote more than two lines of a poem, as you can well imagine. Similarly, when one quotes from prose sources, fair use normally encompasses quotations of several sentences, depending upon the details.
If there is a specific Wikipedia guideline that contradicts this, please give me the link, and I'll take this discussion there. Otherwise I'll restore the poem shortly. Cheers, Easchiff (talk) 11:59, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Conscious hip hop, where exactly should I merge Conscious hip hop? I don't see any good place in Hip hop, and making it a subsection of the Genres section would wrongly suggest this style is important in hiphop. There is List of hip hop genres but that's just a list, a section of content seems not quite appropriate. And please don't vote to merge without a specific idea of how to do it.
