Wikitool Bar[edit]

For future refernce, please use the Mailing list so it can be shared with all the members.

Anyway, you asked a few questions, I will give you a few answers. :)

This is when somone edits a "user" set catgorey and this shows when there are options to change it's parent catagorey so if I had...
HD
DD
II
and I clicked on edit Cat on II, it would bring up DD or HD. Right now "top level" catagories, i.e. HD and DD can not change their parent. I got to fix that. (submit a bug report for me so you get credit for the reminder). So now I have changed II to parent HD.
HD
II
DD
So if I where to now click on DD and change it's parent to HD it now look like..
HD
II
DD
Now if I where to click on HD (edit), there are no parent cat. So that word or DTD would not show up. Another bug report to send in to the bugzillia system is that if I know clicked on II, and wanted to make it a "top" level cat, it should happen, but it doesn't. If you could submit these two bug reports to the bugzillia that would be great.
If a site doesn't have a template pack, but needs to be installed so that it shows up in the drop down menu, that would be the install button name. By default it's: Basic Install under "Userdefined wikis". Might not be in your version yet. I am almost done with this section to be released. Check in a few days.
These two I am very curious about. I will delete these from my DTD and try it myself on where the error comes. --Shane (T - C - E) 05:04, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok... userrights is needed. It's for someone with the User Rights access to quickly access a person's user rights. (Admin only). sitesetting I think can be deleted. I am going to make the change to the CVS. Tell me once you updated your DTD and I will change the polish DTD on the source code it self. --Shane (T - C - E) 05:12, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Diagrams[edit]

Thanks for the education! I tried to output SVGs from DIA earlier, but they did not look good at all. I will try to use SVG's from now. Would be great if the authors of DIA could just fix the export, though :) Klem fra Nils Grimsmo 05:44, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I read about your zero section edit script[edit]

Didn't test it (I don't know polish and am a bit hurried :) but I think it's a good idea. Sometimes it can be needed.

Yeah, I know I haven't said much, but well. I have nothing more to say. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nethac DIU (talkcontribs) 23:47, 9 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted[edit]

I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.

This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.

We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!

I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.

Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation Volunteer Development Coordinator 00:47, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of OpenEdge[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on OpenEdge requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nominationbyvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
