Many countries (pretty much all outside of the USA) don't use mdy dates, so please do not change the date format to mdy if the subject relates to a place outside of the USA, unless a "use mdy dates" tag is present. You can find which date format tag is used on a page when editing and looking at the hidden categories. Countries in the Commonwealth of Nations all use the dmy format too.
