Re:Piscataway Indian Nation

[edit]

I removed the category of Native American leaders from the Piscataway Indian Nation because the category is intended for individual leaders, not for entire groups. Turkey Tayac has a seperate article which is categorized under Native American leaders. If you wish to make a seperate article for Billy Redwing Tayac (who I assume was the reason that you included the category in the article), then by all means do so, but it isn't good to put the main Piscataway Indian Nation article in the Native American leaders category just because he is mentioned. I hope this clears things up. Asarelah 03:59, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Piscataway Indian Nation

[edit]

If your concern about the Piscataway Indian article is that it contained information about Turkey Tayac that wasn't in the actual Turkey Tayac article, I will be happy to add the info in question to the Turkey Tayac article. In regards to leaving the article the way I found it, please bear in mind that although the article is about the Piscataway Nation, it is not owned by them. Please see the policy page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Ownership_of_articles. Each page says on the bottom that "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.". I'm sure that whoever wrote the original article was aware that other editors would be working on it. I hope this compromise is to your liking.

P.S. One other thing...when adding comments to someone's talk page, its best to put them on the bottom, as this keeps the comments in chronological order. Thanks! Asarelah 16:25, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
