A belated welcome![edit]

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Renamed user 0okmnji98u. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I'm been doing 00:51, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A page you started (Swiss lemonade) has been reviewed![edit]

Not that bad, but seems interesting. :)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:46, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

English names for organisms[edit]

Hi, English names for organisms are never put in italics in the English Wikipedia. Also, as noted on Plantdrew's talk page, they need referencing. Peter coxhead (talk) 14:24, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter coxhead: Hello! I've just replied to the comments on Plantdrew's talk page and added citations to Allium anisopodium, Allium ochotense, Allium victorialis, Allium macrostemon, Allium thunbergii, and Allium maximowiczii. Thank you for your advice and corrections. --Renamed user 0okmnji98u (talk) 16:41, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If I can help in anyway with getting to grips with the complexities of editing Wikipedia, don't hesitate to leave me a note on my talk page. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:26, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Want to help shape the future of the Wikipedia editing experience?[edit]

Hi Renamed user 0okmnji98u!

The Design Research team at the Wikimedia Foundation is currently seeking relatively newcomer Wikipedians for user studies about their experience with current editing tools and to test out some prototype editing tools. If you’re interested in helping to shape the future of editing on Wikipedia, we would love to have you participate! The study session will take approximately 30 minutes, maximum of 45 minutes.

The study will take place in the next couple weeks, and will require participants to have access to a webcam and microphone (or a laptop with built in cam & mic), with a quiet place to go for a research session. To participate, please email dchen[at]wikimedia.org and include the following information:

Please let me know if you have any questions! Look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Daisy Chen

Why thank me?[edit]

Thank you for thanking me but it was entirely my pleasure to add the pictures to the article. —Ityoppyawit (talk) 13:32, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Renamed user 0okmnji98u. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
