Please explain to me how the protestant reformation, as the article defines, a reform movement which sought to rectify perceived issues within the catholic church is at all equivalent to a schism? It's widely accepted in academia and European history courses that it's goal was to fix issues and "restore" the previous unadulterated state of Christianity, not to divide it.
