Ubuntu as "Adware"[edit]

Any thoughts to my comments on the talk page: Talk:Ubuntu (operating system) ?--Lookmomnohands (talk) 05:41, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yep - I have responded there. Thanks. --Russell E (talk) 05:55, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to the other sections of at the beginning of the talk page?: Talk:Ubuntu (operating system) 124.168.142.245 (talk) 13:16, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ooops! I think you've accidentally deleted everything outside the RFC section, so I'm putting it back :) 124.168.142.245 (talk) 13:56, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's wierd. Normally I only edit the given section so that shouldn't be possible. Oh well. Thanks for fixing it!--Russell E (talk) 23:01, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to say that I have had an incredibly challenging week with problems at home and various people annoying me to an outrageous degree. Unfortunately, sitting at a computer for as long as I do, I take it out on strangers online. I was rude in the forums I frequent, and I was rude here. Please accept my apology, because you did not deserve the rude and condescending tone in my talk page posts. I try to observe WP:CIVIL strictly, but so much has been weighing on my mind this week, I just let it leak through here and you bore the brunt of my anger. Sorry. Elizium23 (talk) 02:09, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow - that I did not expect. Are you sure your account has not been compromised? :) Apology accepted - sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope things get better for you soon. --Russell E (talk) 08:57, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)[edit]

Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization consisting of over 28,000 volunteers in more than 100 countries. The collaboration was formed to organize medical scholarship in a systematic way in the interests of evidence-based research: the group conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.

Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account. Thank you Cochrane!

If you are stil active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

Rebirthing Breathwork listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Rebirthing Breathwork. Since you had some involvement with the Rebirthing Breathwork redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 15:58, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
