Hi, many thanks for alerting me to the category problems in my sandbox. I was playing around with it a while back, probably got distracted halfway through something (in all honesty, I can´t really remember what it was that I was actually doing) and never got back to it. Anyway, I have fairly well lost interest in that particular article, so I cleared it out and life goes on! Cheers. RdeVjun (talk) 03:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I've added a response at your ref desk question about horses, but thought I'd also point you in the direction of User:Montanabw who's active on the horse pages here, and has unfailingly responded to all my (very many) horse questions, and is just the person to keep your book's horses in order. Say I sent you: you'll get all the answers you want, and I'll get any blame owing for distracting her from WP editing! :) Gwinva (talk) 05:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
And...here I am! So, onto your questions:
Hope this helps! Drop me a line again if you have questions. Montanabw(talk) 23:55, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Hello, Sandman. I wanted to inform you that one of your posts (diff) was removed from the Miscellaneous desk because it was seen as giving medical advice (and suggesting to disregard possible advice given by real-life medical professionals). Because of potential harm (both legally and medically) there is consensus at the desks that we should not be giving this kind of advice and even remove it when we encounter it. See Wikipedia:Reference desk/Guidelines/Medical advice. For reference, see this thread at the desk's talk page. Thank you for understanding. ---Sluzzelin talk 17:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Alien 3.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:01, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cordonazo, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cordonazo is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cordonazo, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Aproposed deletion template has been added to the article Battle Cruiser M-12, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi, Sandman1142, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you. And once again - Welcome! -- Banjeboi 13:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC) |

I've got an article I wrote going through AfD- pretty contentious, we have some headstrong deletionists working feverishly to find reasons to kill it, heh. But what I was wondering is if you'd take a look at the arguments I'm making and see if they are cogent and make sense- just so I can better get an idea of what I need to address. No more, no less- the better I know my strengths and weaknesses, the better I'm prepared in the future. Anyway, the article's at [[1]]; take a look if you get the chance, and let me know. Thank you! Hello Sandman30s! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 874 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

I'm not sure though how exactly to start that. Do you know of any examples where I could be in PowerPoint or OpenOffice Presenation and I would press a hotkey to paste into a textbox? Based on your attack of my anecdote that refuted the sweeping statement, "If you have a profession/avocation that requires a computer you're better off with a Mac", it appears that you absolutely support that statement. From your other comments, I find it rather surprising that you support that statement. Perhaps your reply to my anecdote isn't conveying the meaning you intended it to convey. -- kainaw™ 02:42, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

The article Bal Cube has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Hi. When you recently edited Adam Davis (pool player), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages English and Stoke (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for uploading File:Baseball Stars - Be a champ!.png.
You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:07, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Not sure if my {{ping}}
atTalk:Eight-ball#Chinese eight-ball pool worked. The gist is: I agree there's (barely) enough sourcing to write something encyclopedic. There's not enough for a stand-alone article on the Chinese variant, but it should be covered in the eight-ball variants section. After that, and some cross-referencing, it would make sense to add the champions list to the champions article, but it should go in that order (the game has to be encyclopedic enough to include somewhere here before we including side-information about players/events associated with the game). The main problem is that only one source so far is a reliable secondary source from a reputable publisher. The others are one primary source from the same publisher (marginally acceptable, but weak), two self-published primary sources from people who are not reputable publishers/authors (not acceptable sources for anything anyone might question for any reason, but okay for rote material probably, since they're not disreputable), and some user-generated forum content, a categorically disreputable form of material which can't be used as source at all here. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 22:35, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

The article Hitesh Naran has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable South African amateur, fails WP:GNG; article also states he qualified for and played in professional events, he did play in professional events but never progressed past the second qualifying round in any of them. Being a multiple national amateur champion alone is not enough for notability
