Thanks for uploading Image:First official photo.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. My comment was not original research. If you followed the links provided in my post, you would see that they are existing games which enjoy enormous popularity. Whilst I accept the speculation about the sequel to not be confirmed (even though it is based on a published article, as included in the link) I don't appreciate your removal of the comment without examining the links. They are real. They exist. If this isn't a basis for adding content to wikipedia, what is? Syndicate Wars

Without citations, sources, references, whatever you wish to call them, the work that you added is original research as you have no evidence to back up the inclusion. A good example of OR in your edit is "(aka Cyberpunk 203X) and "(aka Cyberpunk 2013)", where is your reference for those alt titles? As far as anyone knows, you made that up. As you can see, I am not the only person to have assessed your edit as OR, another experienced wiki editor actually reverted your edit. Please note that linking to other wiki articles is not citation enough, you need to provide links to reliable outside sources. So I could in fact also add the following:

How about you actually read what my edit was? Your example of my use of O.R. by citing "Cyberpunk 2013 aka Cyberpunk 2013" wasn't even anything to do with my edit. My edit in its entirety, for your information, consisted of the following: (my edit is in italics)

Computer games have frequently used cyberpunk as a source of inspiration. One of the most pre-eminent examples^{[citation needed]} of cyberpunk in gameplay is Syndicate and it's sequel Syndicate Wars, released on the Amiga and PC platforms by Bullfrog studio. This game features many if not all themes present in the cyberpunk universe. ^{[citation needed]}In these games, the player is put in the role of a member of the global Syndicate, a mega-corporation now with control of the entire world. The gameplay centres around the role of the player as controller of a team of four bionically-enhanced 'agents', who conduct missions in order to further the ends of the Syndicate through any means necessary, including assassination, abducting, wholesale destruction, protection services, robbing banks, theft of technology (including weapons, bionic, genetic and otherwise), and more. Syndicate has a wide-spread following, with the rumour that a sequel to Syndicate Wars (i.e. Syndicate 3) has been hinted at being under development by Starbreeze in collaboration with EA.[1]

Tagges the OR parts, and unless they are sourced, this is just another game, which is already listed and cited in the List of cyberpunk works article. The main Cyberpunk article is for discussing the genre as a whole, not listing examples. The only examples needed are those that are used to illuminate points about the genre, and are used in reliable sources. Syndicate does neither at the moment. Describing details of the game does not inform the reader about cyberpunk if we have no source saying why it is important or influential within the genre, or if it is at all. Such a source might be the whole books that are devoted to this game series.YobMod 16:07, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Whistler20061214.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned image, no context to determine possible future encyclopedic use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --TheImaCow (talk) 18:21, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
