Hi - thanks for your edits to Princes Highway, Sydney - however I think from Waterfall south it is State Route 60, and certainly not National Route 1. Do you know? Else, I might just remove that bit. The situation is very messy, because often RTA (now RMS) sign locations and ccntent do not correspond with what is published in the Government Gazette, which is the legal definition. The southbound advance warning sign for McKell Ave designates the highway at Metroad 1, whereas the advance warning sign for the bifurcation of the Princes Hwy and the Southern Freeway denotes the freeway as national route 1. At one time there was a 'End Metroad 1 Begin national route 1' sign at Waterfall itself, which technically meant that several hundred metres of the Highway were national route 1 before the bifurcation, where it becomes state route 60.
