Talk:Turret for microscopes

[edit]

Thanks for the idea at Talk:Turret about turrets for lenses etc. While the concept seems closer to military turrets, a section could be added to the Turret article, or it could be a new article with a link in italics at the top of that page and the gun turret page. The thing to do is to find a source or sources that comply with WP:A and WP:RS, and write a concise summary as the article. Feel free to contact me if you want any guidance, hope you enjoy adding this to Wikipedia, ... dave souza, talk 20:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV phrasing

[edit]

I'm just skimming the article and have no opinion on content. But this phrase appears to violate WP:NPOV: "It is a sad fact that Dr. Frederik Mohs, who has selflessly devoted his life to teaching the method for free, is being accused of commercialism." -- SpareSimian (talk) 23:54, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

But isn't that what the talk page is for? To discuss such issues and conflicts, so that we can focus on the content of the article? You are reading a discussion, and not the content of the article, so I do not understand why the NPOV is noted in this case?--Northerncedar (talk) 01:12, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Richard D. Evans (American author) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Odie5533 (talk) 10:21, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The article TINKEBELL has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
