Greetings, Tigerbindrawale:

I've reverted your new version of 1978 Sikh-Nirankari clashes because you have replaced sourced content with largely unsourced, heavily opinionated, and frequently ungrammatical content. Although I'm sure you meant to improve the article, I feel that your edits have harmed the quality of the article; if you feel otherwise, feel free to discuss it here or on the article's talk page. This is a controversial subject, so there is a high burden of proof changing content and you should be sure to use reliable secondary sources. In future, it would also help if you provided an edit summary to justify your edits for other editors who might disagree with them. Best wishes, Tigercompanion25 (talk) 19:52, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So, I removed your deletion tag on 1978 Sikh-Nirankari clashes, as this article doesn't meet the criteria for deletion, which would be, for instance, copyright infringement, defamation, or something else that was illegal; a lack of notability; or something else along those lines. Just because "It is a controversial article and facts are distorted on the page [in your opinion]" does not mean the article warrants deletion. You object that "The sources for article are independent opinionated websites and do not agree with the Delhi High Court ruling regarding Ranjit Singh." On Wikipedia, we rely on secondary sources. The High Court ruling would be a primary source. Also, just because the Court ruled a certain way doesn't mean it was correct. The idea on Wikipedia is to defer to what the secondary sources say, even if we object to what they say, or they contradict our political opinions, or they deviate from a primary source that we find to be more palatable. As a new editor, you might benefit from looking over WP:NUTSHELL, which sums up Wikipedia's basic policies and provides links that go into specific policies more in-depth, like WP:VERIFY and WP:NPOV. Best wishes, Tigercompanion25 (talk) 22:50, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
