Hi, I wondered if you or page stalkers would be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge? The idea is to showcase the work being done on wikipedia across the continent, and inspire more people to create and work on countries which might not usually get much attention and then possibly running some contests to bring in new editors. I know it's very existence will definitely make me more likely to contribute more on India and other countries. Could be a way to highlight work needing doing for India and draw in new editors for the upcoming Asian Month and sinpire people to create more than they normally might! I've alreeady started an articles on a Cambodian woman scientist! Or perhaps set up a 1000 Challenge for India feeding into it? Not sure, but if interested add your name to the participants and I'll consider setting something up later in the month.♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:30, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

Dear Titodutta, I am looking for a mentor. I am new on the English Wikipedia.I have written a draft article "Draft:Medhananda" and submitted it for review. There has not been an answer yet because there are hundreds of new articles to be rewiewed at the moment. So it will take time. In the meantime I would like to improve the article according to Wikipedia standards. I would be thankful if you would accept me as a adoptee. Kind regards GoldenerBall2A02:1205:507B:1300:F5F9:5513:8E22:BC6E (talk) 13:20, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Hi Titodutta, i want training of Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism. Please guide what to do. Thanks Kambojharsangeet (talk) 11:18, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you JarrahTree 14:12, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Dear Titodutta thank you very much for accepting me as an adoptee. If you need some personal details about me , I would be glad to give them to you, but of course I would prefer to do it by e-mail. I am glad you did Wikipedia work on Swami Vivekananda, so I think you are the man to give advice about my article about Medhananda. When I put the article into the drafts section of Wikipedia, there has been a Wikipedia member who wrote ( I can't find his comment anymore in Wikipedia, I saw it more by chance than by knowledge), who said 1. the article should have more "reliable "sources in the references. That is a dilemma: about this author Medhananda there is no secondary literature yet, that one could quote. So, if one wants to explain what Medhananda says, one has to quote him - because what he says about the ancient Egyptian Psychology is quite new, and has not been attempted by other authors so far. One can only compare it to what Sri aurobindo has said about the symbols of the Veda. And 2. the critic said, the article should be more "neutral". That is a very good condition for articles in Wikipedia, as it is an Encyclopedia. I have tried to do this "neutral" aspect by using formulas like: Medhananda attempts to show...,Medhananda's view of ...,Medhananda attempts to find..., according to Medhananda..., as Medhananda explains..., Medhananda points out...,in Medhananda's view . What do you think? Isn't that enough to give a "neutral" impression to the reader? Should I cut down the explanations what he did and said to shorter bits, to make the text more "meagre"? Perhaps the 3. critic point would be remedied like that also: the critic said the article was too "promotional".
You see I already tried to cope with the Wikipedia standards, but evidently it was not enough. Do you have access to the article "Draft:Medhananda", or should I do something so that you can have a look at it?
Thank you very much again and best regards from Switzerland GoldenerBallGoldenerBall (talk) 17:32, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Hi Tito, curious about the author of this article. If I refer to him in an article, do I call him S, or is that his middle name? I can't tell. Any idea if his name is actually Prasad S Shyam? Seems weird to say "according to film critic S, the movie was XYZ". Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:10, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.
This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.
Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.
Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)

Thanks for uploading File:Bigg Boss Bangla promotional image.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:30, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Can I be one of your students in the Counter-Vandalism Academy? Adotchar (talk) 09:40, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
Greetings! I have been in Wikipedia for six and a half years (6,350 edits, over 4,000 mainspace edits, over 180 new articles), and I am a pending changes reviewer, and now I thought to request Rollback permission; however, I want to be assured that I’m 100% ready to furfill that task so I am hopefuly willing to undergo a Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Academy training. Hi! I'm interested to become your student at WP:CVU. Do you have time for teaching me? Thanks! Abbottonian (talk) 06:18, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Although i have created stubs before, I intend to begin writing articles about the various scientists at CCMB, where I currently work. I was wondering if it is okay to use, say, the CCMB website to source material. I know I can use newspapers, but can you suggest other sources? OR will that be a COI? --HarshAJ (Talk)(Contribs) 10:32, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, would you be willing to train me if you have time? Unfortunately I'm in the U.S. and not near your time zone, but my schedule is pretty flexible. The one trainer listed in the U.S. didn't respond to me. I've been using Special:Abuselog over the past few days to find and revert some vandalism, but they didn't feel I had enough history to get rollback rights. Any help would be appreciated. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I'll let you know if I have any questions about the policies I read but I can't think of any at the moment. Do you have any suggestions on how to find vandalism other than the abuse log? (since I don't have access to the tools at the moment). Pariah24 ┃ ☏ 12:32, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
